Strategic Methane Gas Pipeline Replacement Planning: Analytics and Monitoring

This project focuses on the development of statistical models for relating pipeline infrastructure characteristics and the results of methane leak detection surveys. Through analysis of a citywide pipeline leakage and maintenance data set for a mid-size city in the United States, we investigate different modeling choices and use the results to inform the ongoing pipe replacement planning activities.
