Sheng is an M.S. student in Civil and Environmental Engineering at CMU working with Prof. Mario Bergés on overhead LiDAR sensing of human behavior in indoor spaces. His work focuses on detection, tracking, and body-orientation estimation from sparse ceiling-mounted point clouds, with the goal of using LiDAR as a privacy-preserving instrument for real-world human behavior data.
