Laura conducted research within the framework of the ‘Habitats Optimized for Missions of Exploration’ (HOME) program, aiming to provide astronauts with smart habitats supporting life on the Moon or Mars. She was previously involved in testing of construction materials during her study at the University of Victoria. From 2017-2018 she worked as a Structural Engineer-In-Training with Allnorth Consultants Ltd., a multi-disciplinary industrial engineering firm with projects in Canada and the USA.
